Relationships with others might be tense today when at times you just don't know where you stand. One moment your partner or a close friend will be laughing and joking, the next they might seem sullen and serious. Their moodiness won't be easy to cope with and you will only be able to put up with it in small doses. That's why the more you keep a certain difficult person at arm's length, the less stressed you will feel!

Any discontent you currently feel is more likely than not because you're holding yourself up to impossibly high goals. Unless you bring these down to a more realistic level, you will continue to frustrate and annoy yourself. You may, rather reluctantly, have to give up some commitments in order to spend more time on areas that should be getting the priority. Unless you prioritise, you're going to wear yourself out!

Comments or interference from neighbours, friends or workmates make you question your own feelings, views and beliefs. Seeing all the bad things in your life knocks your judgement out of kilter. Maybe there are many negatives but what about all the positives? Does one outweigh the other? I'll go out on a limb here. If you feel your questioning is excessive, then perhaps it is. What is really at the root of it? You need to ask yourself this, today.

It might seem as if people are against you or someone is constantly having a go at you but are you reading them wrong? If you're tired of the way everyone is at odds with each other, you might think about encouraging more mutual respect within a group. Get everyone to discuss their feelings and insist that in future no put downs of any kind will be allowed. Your determination to restore harmony will have the spin off benefit of opening other people's eyes to the problems they have been causing.

Other people trying to tell you what to do is guaranteed to get your back up and make you irritable. Today you could be hounded by colleagues, or a boss, who will be demanding your help or giving you fresh tasks to start on. The atmosphere at work could be tense and a social or romantic engagement may have to be cancelled due to you having to give priority to responsibilities in other areas.

You might prefer to stand back and let other people take the initiative. An outgoing and confident friend or colleague has some good ideas and their enthusiasm is contagious. Other people will be swift to pick up their passion and offer their support. Since you can't seem to come up with any innovative ideas of your own, it will be easier to let others lead the way and go along with whatever is being asked of you today!

Your inclination is to avoid conflict by withdrawing from a situation. Alternatively you're thinking of postponing dealing with a matter which is certain to cause a commotion. You won't act before you think because you are concerned about what other people's reactions might be. You're holding back and yet you are desperate to take action and the conflict is affecting your emotional health making you over sensitive; you're imagining slights that aren't there.

There will come a time today when you will be dealing with joint professional matters. A need to advise a partner on the way they are handling certain affairs could cause them some resentment. Even if you feel someone has been careless or neglectful, try to be subtle as you tell them so. A critical approach may ruffle a few feathers. If you advise without making it sound too fault finding, they're more likely to accept your help without bitterness.

Your home or workplace could be invaded by people and you might resent the intrusion. Demands come your way from all directions and you could do without all this extra activity and stimulation. Others will rally round to give you the help they can but this may not be enough. You may have to reluctantly put personal plans aside and give up your time to sorting out difficulties that were not of your making.

Financial matters are a focus of your thoughts; you might realise you are over or under insured. Or are you paying out on something that hasn't any worth at all? In your eagerness to change this, you might forget to consult a partner of the change of plans. Their initial annoyance could slow things down. To avoid misunderstandings, consult those who matter before doing anything drastic; it's unlikely they will have anything to say against your practical suggestions!

Your ship of good fortune seems to have hit a reef today in the shape of a person who is obstructive and disruptive. Your temper will be on edge especially if you feel someone is trying to step on your toes. You're all keyed up and ready for action but some problems won't be as bad as they first appear. A minor crisis will be nothing more than a slight misunderstanding. Once this has been cleared, there will be nothing left to get flustered about!
