Curb your competitive tendencies as it will be more advantageous to you now, to hone your skills. You aren't going to exceed or even meet your personal goals if you rush into anything without due care and attention. Any area or field in which you wish to succeed will see better results if you spend a little time working on your skills and talents. You aren't lacking in confidence but you could do with developing more self control!

A friend's greed and incentive to succeed seems insatiable. Your success lies in the satisfaction of a job well done. You won't cut corners if this might lead to shoddy workmanship. It seems rewards and enticements come in different packages and your reward will be faultless effort and pleasing others. You'd rather these rewards over anything obtained in a selfish and self serving way.

If others are taking an aggressive attitude and this is getting you down, do something about it. Someone is sending mixed signals saying they won't pressure you into anything but expecting you to go along with their suggestions. They don't even believe what they say and you are starting to realise they aren't sincere. Getting your own feelings out might help clear the air and you will feel a lot better by the end of the day.

Something is holding you back from participating in a group event; you have a beautiful mind and spirit, let this show. A person you hardly know will be drawn to you and you will be able to help them in an emotional or spiritual way. What they may not realise is how sharing their problems also helps you decide to take time out to work on yourself, spiritually, emotionally and physically.

If certain methods, procedures or systems don't seem to be working, step back and reconsider. Don't waste more time continuing as you have been doing when this has already proved to be ineffective. Get other people involved as a team effort may make the work less problematic. If this is a group endeavour, invite new people to participate and their fresh perspective could help take projects forward. There is a way to progress but it doesn't lie in the past or in current approaches.

If you feel drained of inspiration or the courage to move on you need to take time off to recharge your batteries. Give in to the demands others are making and this will take its toll on your health. Your heart might tell you other people need you, your mind will warn that it is time to leave them to manage on their own. There is a limit to what you can do for others before it starts to interfere with your own life, concerns and relationships.

The less you worry about how you come across in a formal situation, the more genuine and appealing you will be. You may never feel entirely confident today especially if you are mixing with people who seem superior in some way. Paying someone a compliment is a great conversation starter. From there you might find you easily go with the flow. Out of town friends or distant family may want to visit you soon.

To gain the respect you deserve you must stand your ground. If you've made threats in the past and others have ignored the warning, this is the day to carry them through. Do this if for no better reason than to preserve your reputation of meaning what you say. If you don't like or agree with another person's attitude, decisions or actions, you don't have to tolerate it. Let others see the more determined side of your personality.

If a loved one throws a fit when you make a reasonable request, they aren't respecting your needs. If someone's only concerned with what they want and refuses to consider how you feel, this relationship needs some major work to survive. Set boundaries and include within these, your needs and expectations. If others cross these boundaries, there will be consequences, even if it means you threatening to walk away.

If someone is harassing or persecuting you, bring it to the attention of those who can do something about it. In the workplace, a senior colleague might support you if you have an issue with another colleague or with management. You would never tolerate any injustice done against others, so why suffer silently yourself? There are people who will willingly back you up, if you approach them for some help.

How you approach the day depends on your goals. If you have something specific in mind to aim for, you will be organised and methodical in your planning. If on the other hand you decide it is time to enjoy a break, you won't be as disciplined or careful. Even so, a mood of creative inspiration could overtake you and you will produce work of excellent quality without you having planned it that way at all!

Deciding you're going to fail before even trying is likely to bring about just that kind of consequence. You need to have more faith in yourself and what you are doing today. It may be a case of mind over matter; think positive thoughts, visualise yourself succeeding and you could well surprise yourself by the end of the day. Take interest in a family matter relating to the general living conditions in your home.
