You are tempted to buy something you have always wanted but don't really need. Despite what you tell others about being sensible with money it does you good to treat yourself every now and again.

It doesn't matter what other people are doing or want you to do, it is your personal ambitions you should focus on now. If requests being made take you away from the place you want to be, don't feel obliged to go along with them. Insist on getting on with your own aims and by this evening a cheering sensation of achievement will be proof you did the right thing!

You could find out a lot about friends and loved ones through some discreet observation. A neighbour's words or actions will explain something that happened in the past which had you baffled at the time.

If you aren't in the mood for too much hard work be sure to keep duty and chores to a minimum. Get together with friends and colleagues to discuss past mistakes and successes. Agree on future plans. This will be a less strenuous way to spend the day. You could learn a lot from a new colleague or a friend who has just returned from abroad. A warm and friendly atmosphere spills into the evening hours.

A friend or colleague's sudden change of arrangements will affect your own plans for the day. You might find yourself having to stand in for a sick workmate. Or you may have to deliver messages, run errands or pick up a friend's children from school. All this could get frustrating. Take it on the chin as you can't let people down when they need you.

Something you heard or picked up wrongly may be influencing your perception of the situation. Their ideas may need some fine tuning but you will want to put them into practice immediately. Discussions about the future could turn into something of an argument when arrangements already made clash with what a partner or close friend is planning. Why not suggest you go out a wee while and this might ease all the tension?
